Suite Life in the Windy City

With the holiday season well under way now my family and I met up in the Windy City this past weekend for a little overnight getaway.  After working the early morning shift on Black Friday we drove up to the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park where my sister, her family, and an incredible view of the city were awaiting our arrival.

The kids had made themselves quite at home in the cozy room and found great new ways to enjoy the perks of a hotel room.

We had all just begun to settle into our lovely rooms when we were graciously upgraded!  Hello suite life! Not only did this mean snazzier digs, but when we relocated to the suite we were greeted by chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and the promise of access to the Gold Lounge.

All of us were anxious to get our hands on the refreshments, but I think one person enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries a bit more than everyone else.

Although the dark sky outside told a different story, the night was young and we were only just beginning our big night in the windy city.  Santa Claus and the Christkindlmarket were calling our names!
